Corn Flour, Grits and Cornmeal

Apologies - we have sold out of corn flours for the season, but please order our cornmeals or corn grits.

Use our cornflour to make rich, sweet cornbread, pancakes or waffles, to bread chicken or fish, or tortillas.

Use our cornmeal to hand-craft your own polenta, for biscuits and pancakes, or to make George Washington’s favorite breakfast, Johnny Cakes.

Use our grits to start a special day off right with a warm bowl of butter and maple syrup grits, spice up brunch with a cajun shrimp and grits, or skip the mashed potatoes and try cheesy grits with dinner. Or try your hand at polenta!

Non-GMO Yellow Corn Flour, Cornmeal and Grits

This is our classic cornflour, meal and grits. At SchoolHouse, our corn varieties are always non-GMO.

Ohio Blue Clarage Heirloom Corn Flour, Cornmeal and Grits

This variety is notably sweeter than the original yellow, and is packed with antioxidants as well as almost double the digestible protein of conventional varieties (according to our independent lab results). This variety of corn was being grown in Ohio in the early 1900s, when our SchoolHouse was still being used to educate children, so it has a special history on our farm.

Bloody Butcher Heirloom Corn Flour, Cornmeal and Grits

Farmer Vaughn’s favorite! Creamier and more stout, comes with beautiful burgundy highlights, and is packed with antioxidants as well as almost double the digestible protein of conventional varieties (according to our independent lab results). This variety of corn was being grown in Ohio in the early 1900s, when our SchoolHouse was still being used, so it has a special history on our farm.
