One bag of Bloody Butcher Cornmeal

$11.99

This variety is earthier than the original yellow, with specks of brilliant burgundy and is packed with antioxidants as well as almost double the digestible protein of conventional varieties (according to our independent lab results). This variety of corn was being grown in Ohio in the early 1900s, when our SchoolHouse was still being used, so it has a special history on our farm.

Use it to hand-craft your own cornbread, for biscuits and pancakes, or to make George Washington’s favorite breakfast, Johnny Cakes, and look out for the distinctive red speckles of Bloody Butcher. At SchoolHouse, our corn varieties are always non-GMO.

Ships in a 1lb resealable bag. Store in a cool, dry environment, refrigerator recommended.
