Objective

The Leasing Consultant assists in the successful leasing of properties by providing excellent customer service and ensuring resident and prospect satisfaction. Responsibilities include supporting daily property operations, complying with Fair Housing Regulations, and contributing to team efforts to meet company and owner objectives.

Major Responsibilities

1. Lease apartments and maintain a satisfactory closing ratio.


2. Understand the property, surrounding area, competition, and amenities.


3. Communicate community amenities and services effectively to prospects.


4. Develop engaging telephone presentations and handle objections.


5. Stay informed about market conditions and competitors.


6. Prepare market surveys and visit competitors to gather information.


7. Suggest marketing strategies to enhance unit appeal.


8. Ensure efficient office procedures and document resident interactions.


9. Prepare leases and coordinate move-in appointments.


10. Pre-qualify applicants and verify employment and rental history.


11. Engage in outreach marketing and other market tasks as directed.


12. Foster teamwork at all levels to ensure organizational success.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.


• Previous leasing experience preferred.


• Well-groomed, pleasant, and courteous demeanor.


• Ability to work with diverse populations and understand resident issues.
