About the Role
Microsoft’s Brand Reputation team is looking for a seasoned communication/public relations professional to join on a part-time basis (~20 hours/week). You will play a critical role in supporting internal and external communications, identifying messaging gaps, and aligning cross-functional communications strategies. Reporting into the Corporate Communications team, you’ll collaborate across business units to help safeguard and elevate Microsoft’s global brand reputation.
What You'll Do
✔ Work across key corporate communications initiatives
✔ Review, edit, and enhance communication materials
✔ Support media relations strategies and stakeholder engagement
✔ Serve as a liaison between internal teams to ensure aligned messaging
✔ Provide communication recommendations on new or ambiguous situations
✔ Prioritize and manage multiple projects independently in a fast-paced environment
What We’re Looking For
✅ 10+ years of professional experience in public relations, corporate communications, or related fields
✅ Proven track record in writing strategic comms plans and creating executive-level content
✅ Expertise in media relations and managing brand reputation
✅ Confidence in public speaking and engaging senior leadership
✅ Exceptional organizational and stakeholder management skills
✅ Self-starter mindset – proactive, analytical, and solution-oriented
Ideal Candidate Will Also Have
✨ Experience working in or with large tech companies
✨ Strong eye for detail and ability to identify communication gaps
✨ Background in corporate communication strategies
✨ Portfolio or writing samples (optional but appreciated)

🚫 Less than 10 years of experience
🚫 No writing or media relations experience
🚫 Poor organization or time management skills
🚫 Job hopping history (multiple roles <6 months)
